Kartell Museo app for iPhone and iPad

KartellMuseo is the interactive guide that accompanies visitors as they explore Museo Kartell, the museum that tells the story of the world-famous company that invented the “culture of plastic”.
Using iBeacons technology, the app guides users through the Museo, pointing out details and curious elements of the objects on display and enriching the experience with multimedia content.
The app recognises each object as it approaches it, and automatically displays a description of it on the screen, along with photographs or videos.
Visitors also have an interactive floor plan of the museum, showing the location of objects with multimedia content. The app can guide users from their current location to the chosen object, just like a GPS.
The app offers visitors a variety of routes, such as a full or short visit, and guides them through the Museo’s rooms based on the choice made.
The app also offers a variety of search options for the objects on display, based on the year of production and the designer.
The KartellMuseo experience continues even after the visit with extra content for each object available for view even if the item wasn’t physically present in the museum.
The app’s new section also lets user stay up to date with the Museo’s latest initiatives.
Localization System uses Bluetooth technology and is required in order to use iBeacons features.
Warning: the continued use of location services in background could decrease battery life.
Beacon functions are available only on devices with iOS 7.1 or higher.
